Professional Counseling Associate

lacey miller headshot.jpg

I am a Professional Counseling Associate in the state of Oregon (Registration Number R7195). As an associate, I am supervised by Jennifer Blake, LPC, NCC, a licensed professional counselor, which I will be happy to explain.

I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling (with a specialty in Clinical Mental Health) from Portland State University in 2016. I have worked in the social services, in LGBTQ youth services, and in child care & development in various roles since 2000. My focus has always been on providing direct services to the individuals and communities who need them most. My training and work as a Professional Counseling Associate has equipped me to work with clients facing a wide range of issues, including: adoption, anxiety and depression, attachment issues, adjustment struggles, family and relational conflict, gender transition goals and issues, grief and loss, nontraditional family structures, parenting, societal oppression, and trauma/PTSD.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your fees?

My private pay rate is $100 per 50-minute session for individuals, and $120 per 55-minute session for couples/families.

I can only accept private pay clients at this time. I aim to accept insurance and/or offer sliding scale appointments as soon as possible!

What happens in counseling?

We will develop a list of your goals for counseling together, and will regularly check in about our progress. In counseling you should feel heard, understood, and challenged. I always want your feedback, and will do my best to connect you to other resources as needed.

Are sessions in-person or virtual? What are your COVID safety measures?

I currently offer both in-office and Telehealth sessions. In-office sessions will be conducted masked and at a 6ft minimum distance. There will be hand sanitizer and handwashing available.

Is what I say in counseling kept secret?

All information disclosed within sessions is confidential. It will not be disclosed to anyone without your written permission. The exception is that disclosure will be required when a client is a danger to self or others.

I keep brief notes of your sessions. You have the right to a copy of your medical records at any time. A response to your request in be made within 15 working days.
